Finally got around to installing these scratchers, I know they are mounted a ways back but wow they really do work. Sprays snow in just in front of rear wheel, seems to lubricate slides very good. After a ride I was able to pull the ski and the skid just rolled along.
I have never been able to do that. Used the factory holes in the skid, took a little effort to get them in those holes but with the back end jacked up no problem. Havent noticed any rubbing of the torsion springs but I will keep an eye on it. Should be able to bottom it out in the shop and check closer.

just bought a set of duraflex ice scratchers from the local dealer.
i wouldn't recommend them in fact for how much i spent im gonna go around telling people how much they suck.
not only did the carbide tips break but the whole hook is bent on one and this was after only one short lived ride across the lake.
normally id bite the bullet and just get new tips but im sorry after 82 dollars i shouldn't have to after only ten minutes.

Crappy for that kind of money. I'm going to invest in some, having a long track now, but will be looking for something that will get the entire track. Not the back half.
I say that having experience last winter on the yami demo ride where with the phazer I rode, front of the track takes the brunt of the unusual wear. And now with mine, riding last week in low snow (my own silliness but I have a new one I just wanted to go for a lil zip) noticing the sliders and metal clips got hot. My bad I know. Rib away.
But seeing that, I'd like to find something for the front so it hits the entire skid!!!

The track is spinning so if you fling snow into the back of the track the spinning track will bring it around to the front of the slides, pretty quickly in fact. Haven't had an issue with the duraflex scratchers had them out all last year not an issue the carbide is still mostly intact. I don't see how you could have bent one that is like 3/8" bolt on the end.

3-UP its an 1.5" Doo crossover track. Its not a finger track, all the lugs are thick/ full height. Works sooooo good! I was lucky enough to find the same track in a 144 for $90! Might not get to it til next year though, we had a week of +5c and most areas are not ride-able around here. Can't remember the last time we had a brown Christmas...

It's the same here but we do have some snow for short rides. It's been raining for a couple days now and the snow is down to about 6". This time of year we normally have over a couple of feet and -30C. I'm 200kms east of Winnipeg.
