I know that a lot of the guys are using hair spray to help secure the air box to the carbs.
Is it necesary to use anything on the silicone couplers on the charge tube and turbo? Or does the silicone work well alone? Thanks for the help.

Additional question. I'm using the dual digital egt/boost guage. The egt probe is just past the turbo. Since the proble is so far back and the pipes are somewhat cooler that far from the headers, should I try to keep max temp at the end of the run to 1000 degrees. Also what is recommended temp for mid range. Thanks

egt ; no idea, i dont like them
You need to move the EGT closer to the enigine. It will not work well where you have it.

I would try right after the 4 to 1 merge. That way you would be getting a sampling from all four cylinders.
You want to be as close as possible. It is a difficult answer because it would be great to get right next to the engine, but you are them only reading one cylinder.
A friend of mine has one mounted in one of the single pipes right off the motor. It seems to work very good, but he is only reading one cylinder.
This is one of the advantages to an air/fuel gauge. It can go further away from the motor after the exhaust from all cylinders has combined.

My headers turn red hot. I don't believe the temp drops too much at the collection point and at least you are getiing the temp of the hottest cylinder, assuming the heat makes it that far.
