i could be very stupid... as this is not my first rodeo with clutching how ever, the dalton B/O spring has the locating tangs on the same side... unlike the stock black pink spring, its late maybe to many beers, not sure but if you try to rotate the helix clock wise at 6 and 2 setting you cannot twist it enough to get it back to where it was... now if you rotate counter clock wise you can get it all together but the rollers are not contacting the ramps? wtf am i doing wrong? lol. thanks in advance guys.

Put a roll of duct tape under the secondary, hold it with your knees on the floor and rotate the helix clockwise. You don’t rotate it a full turn just until the helix slides over the first studs that you come to. It will have pretty good torsion to it.

so i don't have to turn it until the helix is back in the location it originally came from? i thought everyone marked there clutches so ya always put them back to the original spot,

You're overcomplicating it. As Mike says, position the spring in the tangs you want then turn it clockwise until the studs line up with the Helix. The Helix does not have to go back on the same studs it was on before. You will know when you have wound it enough because the rollers will be on the ramps
