Drove for hour parked. went out two hours later no start -17. fuel relay loads fuel though starter does not engage and thus does not even turn over. pulled sled into a garage then starts hours later. all fuses good. Is there a relay specifically for the starter to engage because the fuel is loading so not thinking it is the typical relay much talked about for the last week. if such a starter relay exists where is this? Same episode happened two days now in a row. Thanks in advance if anyone can point me in the right direction it would be :o| much appreciated. Thx 2006 RTX

Agree, frozen starter relay is a good bet, under airbox, right side of battery box.

Thank-you for the pics ! in your opinion so should i replace this or just get in there and have it thaw out for a day or two indoors then put back in? this is a great site ! :rocks:

usually they get moisture in them and freeze, if you take it for a good coouple hour tour it usually drys them out and they work fine after that

I'd go ahead and warm the relay up for awhile and see it that gets the thing to start. If that did the trick, I would consider getting a new relay. That's part number 5LW-81940-02-00 and costs somewhere between $30 and $50, depending on where you buy it. There is likely moisture in the relay and unless it's completely dry, may freeze again. Rumor has it that the newer relays are better sealed - I dont' know if that's true.

BIG MAC ordered one today and will be here on thursday. thinking advice is good to just throw in a new one in to ensure the problem does not rear its head again this season ! thx again

got at her last night and low and behold she's a bit green! picked up the replacement today and hope to be all good from now on ! will update once more after i leave it parked in minus 15 for the next two nights
thx again
