I had a chance at a 17 LE and then the deal fell through, so I'm at the point of ordering an 18. Question is, LTX LE or Cat RR? There seem to be some advantages and disadvantages to both. But I'm wondering if for the couple hundred dollar difference, is the Cat the way to go?
Pros
Tolerable skis out of the box
RR rear skid
Hand guards standard
Cons
No heated seat
Belts are pricey
Not sure I like how the cat holds value
Any other input that I'm missing would be appreciated. I'm coming over from Doo.

The RR rear skid is the same as the LE I believe. The colors of the Yamaha are way nicer IMO. The heated seat is also a nice feature to have.

Sidewinders are geared higher, and it appears as though they can be faster, depends who is tuning which one. I love my heated seat, but this LE should of come standard with hand deflectors, sense it did not have a windshield.

You cannot buy a new Yamaha with a rr skid anymore. The le has really nice shocks but if you want a rr skid you have to buy an arctic cat.

It appears the 129" arctic cat comes with the original ripsaw track? You can only get the 137" with the ripsaw 2?

Not that it much matters to me,but a lot of dealers still believe we that got the LE models got the RR skid, but we did not, still a very good skid, and the qrs3 shocks work great. You cannot buy a new Yamaha with a rr skid anymore. The rr skid is considerably stronger, I know because I have one on my15 rtx le. Not saying the others are bad, I'm just saying the rr is better and stronger and not available on any Yamaha sled now.

The new RR Cat rear skids are exactly the same as the LE Winders. The only way to get the beefed up suspension from cat now is on the R-XC 600. Repeat Arctic 9000 RR rear suspensions are the same as the LE Winders.
The Cat handguards suck. Get Powermadd guards for either.

And here is the RR skid in 137" length. 2020 XC cat. One of only 30 made. Notice the reinforcement bottom of chaincase? I will be buying that piece for sure.
