I currently have a 14 viper xtx and have really been wanting to have a sidewinder. Found one with 800 miles on it for a decent price. Just wondering if there is problem years or issues to be aware of. Really enjoyed my xtx but I really like the idea of 200 hp.

should be a good one. most problems are in the chain case and axel and they all have them one way or another. To me its all minor fixes.
Tensioner screws, top gear wear and drive axel wear.

Suggest to read the Master Sidewinder Issues and Fixes post at top of this forum. It's details areas of concern and things that need to be addressed for trouble-free riding.I currently have a 14 viper xtx and have really been wanting to have a sidewinder. 800 miles is nothing for these chassis especially the motor, However it depends on how this sled was stored at that age. Do you mind me asking what you are paying? The reason I ask is there are a good amount of these sleds for sale that are much more recent. I'm seeing 22' sleds with EPS and low miles for around $10K.
