I really don't see the point of running both. If your doing that, get the full length roest plate and powder coat it white.

Get the full length roast plate and you will never look back. It also protects part of the heat exchanger.

Both Roest plates will help protect the heat exchanger. I would throw that white plastic thing away and install the full length plate. It saved me some sever damage when I ran over a large rock.

Don't need to weld nuts on, it comes with everything you need to install it with the gusset in place. Just let roest know when ordering.

The bottom replacement gusset doesn't have a hole like the OEM plate. There's a few options that will allow the plate to be bolted to the bottom gusset.
1) Mark the Roest plate bolt holes on the gusset, drill the proper size hole and tac weld nuts to the bottom of the plate:
2) Use a hole saw and cut a new hole similar to the OEM plate then install speed nuts or cut two smaller hole near the Roest bolt locations that are big enough to slide the speed nuts over the plate:
3)Install nutserts which are similar to rivets but with threaded centers. The installation tool and nutserts are available at Harbor Freight or on eBay if you don't have or know someone with one: http://www.harborfreight.com/45-piece-t ... -1210.html
