I am looking for a lower left a-arm. My arm bent , broke the bole, and the mounts bent.

Has any one seen a lower left a-arm with out the ball joints and stuff for sale?

I need to find one in less then 3 days!

a place in the Twin Cities sells the aftermarket stock replacement ones on Eb@y, I'm sure they could get one to Iowa pretty quick.

I got a replacement one from e-bay several hours ago.
No bushing, no ball joints, just the A-arm.

The price off me driving there and back is the same as overnight (12pm).

So it should be here tomorrow or Thursday. Then Friday at 8am leave for Grand City 100.

So now I need to get my mounts strait!

Got it from jhmotorsports

that's the place I was talking about on Ebay. I was going to get those but lucked out on a complete GT set of arms, spindles, and Tierods for 300$ off craigslist.

I've found the lower a arms to be a real weak spot with these sleds. I've now had to replace three of them in 1200 miles. Two on the right and one on the left. My buddy has also had to replace one on his mtx. Same thing you experienced with the rear bolt shearing at the frame mount and the a arm bending or cracking at the weld. In my opinion only one of the impacts was really a legitimate hit that should have broken something. At this point I'm very unimpressed with the sleds durability. I keep extra a arms on hand now to try to minimize down time.

The Lowers?I have bent uppers alot but only when hitting a big hole or something and bottoming hard.Maybe your shocks arent doing the job?If not no a-arm will hold up especially as long as ours are.

Bent 2 myself. Both due to the rear lower bolt breaking. I guess I'd rather tweak an a-arm instead of the front subframe. One was a legit tweak, the other I didn't even feel but noticed bad handling and noticed my skis were toed bad. I went back and followed my track and noticed I had caught a manhole cover with my keel out in the middle of nowhere. I made up a jig with the good arm and bent my bad arm back to match the jig and welded up the cracks.

Yep that's what happened. I pulled out my sled when my buy was driving it and he got stuck. When I got done I noticed the alignment off. I fixed the alignment. Then 2 weeks later I drove over a rock and the carbide grabber and I rolled over the sled. Got the sled in the shop few days later and I noticed my bolt side ways and and out. The back part of the mount bent towards the spinal and back of the arm bowed out. I end. ed up bending it back (I did the same on the right side with the old sled) Then heated up the sub frame and bending that back, with hammering and bolts. Then I welded washer, put the old arm on and waited for the new arm. I got the new arm just 15 min before I left for the race. The I put the new arm on at the track.

The lowers give it up real easy on a side impact, such as when sidehilling, making powder turns with countersteering, or just glancing off something with the outside of your ski. I do appreciate that the bolt will go before the frame but would prefer niether go, aside from a really serious hit. I imagine it has something to do with where the sled carries its weight - high and forward.

I've only bent one upper so far.

Those new ones off of eBay are chrome Molly so they should be up to the job. That's what I am putting on mine this summer.
