Manitoba TY 2015

Lac du Hat ...is gonna get it good today , and so is the Big Whiteshell... we got some snow last night...trails from belair , to pinefalls , to Lac all groomed Thursday...very smooth... gonna do it again today :)

Well.....WE GOT SOME Snow Here......BUTT NOTHING too what they were callin for ....WE NEED WAY MORE YET

Sounds like the Lac Du B area has good enough snow they are grooming, I see on SNO MAN more areas are OPEN or PARTLY OPEN so things are looking up.

DARN WEATHER GUYS!!!!!!!...I Wouldn't Let Them FIX ME A SANDWICH as they would GET IT WRONG.....What a Cushy Job they got...."Meteorologist" Sure...SPIN THE WHEEL Vanna :confused::confused::letsnow: :letsnow::letsnow::letsnow::letsnow::letsnow::letsnow::letsnow::letsnow:

We got about 6 inches of fine snow and a couple more to come tonight they say. Glad to hear the LDB area got some. First time I ever heard of the Whiteshell trails all being closed in February!

Rode 220k yesterday in the eastern region, pine falls, nothstar trail, macintiosh, bigfoot and a few others. Riding was decent, the bit of snow really made a difference and there is enough that the groomer guys actually have a fair chance of making something out of it.

I was up north of gimili earlier in the week it was quite nice. Decent amount of snow there. Hoping to go back soon after the recent snow fall

Double b and I unloaded at Drifters at noon today. Went up to Alf's, Rudi's and Anson's Hut. Stopped in to see a buddy on Bird River then off to Joyce's Hut and then back to LDB. Logged 100 miles.
There were some areas of brown grass and snow but very driveable. Trails were in very good shape considering it was the end of the weekend.
Heard excellent reports of Nopiming and Belair from fellow sledders. I would say the TY Ride is still a go.
Hopefully the Whiteshell will open by then. Not a TY Ride without the White Lake Sampler.

Geez guys, that's around the time I left Drifter's with a buddy, had I known we could have rode together. We went off trail up to Great Falls, crossed there to hook up with Timberline, up to Maskwa, Pine Falls, Half Way Hut, out to Stead, back down on John Longbottom trail and down 317 back to LDB. Trails weren't bad, just don't tell anyone, then we'll have them all to ourselves, lol. John Longbottom was pretty bad, I don't think that's been groomed. The hockey tournament in town, along with all the tourists (stiener and double b) coming out to ride made for lots of people hanging out at Drifters on Sunday morning, so it would have been easy to miss someone. We may be going out for a short ride one evening this week and on the weekend coming up in between curling games (bonspiel). The bar in the curling club will be open, but sorry I won't be buying!
