Yamaha and cat have to update the chassis and introduce a new information interface. The Polaris system is the best but even the new skidoo system is in a different league than what we currently have. Yamaha has this tech in their motorcycles already so whats the problem? The changes required to address the drivetrain problems would be minimal, they should shave a few pounds while they are at the redesign. We deserve a more progressive skidframe geometry to let the ride be compliant but still resist bottoming better than we currently have. Retain the front end geometry for trail riding models at least, with the right skiis these sleds are really easy to ride fast in any trail conditions. Engine could be mounted inches lower if the chassis was designed around the yamaha triple? I could go on and on but I assume there are powers that be that know all of this stuff. Here is hoping they update our favourite trail rocket and eliminate the reliability quirks that we inherited from cat. Our shop nytro rtx has 46,000 kms on it mostly wfo with a paddle track and nothing has been touched in the chaincase, nuff said.

I'd like to see them address the the topgear/tensioner issues, along with the driveshaft bearing. Give us a more durable clutch that doesn't rattle. I'll take a new gauge and a taller seat too.

Everything number1kyster said and: redesign the stupid oil sump/chain case situation with a better way to check and replace fluids in both. Put a simple driveshaft bearing(clutchside) like the Apex with lockable collar screws. Offer more track varieties......1.3, 1.5, ice ripper etc. Removable lower panels. Better windshield options. Mine is a cat.

I have ridden sleds with some of these new gauge packages. While they look great sitting in the garage, they suck to read at speed.
Just give me simple to read instrumentation with the essential engine functions displayed. You can keep your " rider connect" or whatever that stuff is.
I would actually prefer analog gages to digital for tach and speed.......
for me address the known issues and give more of the same, unless they come out with a ground breaking suspension I cant getting something new

Given that the new Rmax1000 has taken suspension travel to a whole new level in the sxs world, I would like to see them add 2-3 inches more travel in the snowmobiles also.

I would like Yamaha to have the compassion and enthusiasm to be in snowmobile business an not just slap the Yamaha logo on something an call it great even in there accesssories.

A simple gauge cluster that provides all the essential information is best for me. A built in GPS might seem like a nice feature, but I doubt that Polaris is giving them away for free, and I really don't need multiple GPS units, especially since I am the only one in the family that cares about a GPS. I bought one Garmin Montana several years ago that works great on all my sleds, my 4-wheelers and my boats.I have ridden sleds with some of these new gauge packages.
