Can you elaborate on the clutch machining ??? What exactly needs to be checked or done ???The key to all those seeking better top end is to have both the primary and secondary clutches machines to allow the shift up to overdrive. Do this before making gearing changes.
My 2019 SRX is set up as follows:
TD Power Trail Tune
3” Cold Air Intake

I cannot answer your question concerning “Track Deflection For High Speed Runs” but just very interested in your statements.
Your posted video of TD running his RACE tune at 29 lbs of boost to achieve 145 mph in 1000’.
You with your much smaller Power Trail tune, machined clutches, skid shafts balanced, BOV, CAI and 23/40 gearing are pretty close with 141 mph in 1000’. Very nice!!
Is your SRX strictly for ice racing?
Club radar run or just a bunch of good ole boys and gals playing on one of those lakes?
Hope you find the answer to your question and add a couple more to that 141. Wow.

Let me get this straight: You run powertrail with CAI and attain 141mph on radar in 1000ft?
Are you running a straight pipe and/or header?
Bigger turbo?
NOS?

Actually the sled in the video I posted is running 163.5mph, that 22 miles mph faster than my sled. That’s on a calibrated radar unit borrowed from a local police department.I cannot answer your question concerning “Track Deflection For High Speed Runs” but just very interested in your statements.

I listed what’s been done on my SRX. Mine is not the fastest with this set up. An Artic cat with very few differences in set up from my SRX runs 146.3 mphLet me get this straight: You run powertrail with CAI and attain 141mph on radar in 1000ft?

I really don’t have the time or the desire to argue with you. So FO141 in 1000 on powertrail?
No

I know these sleds can do that speed in that distance, but need to be tuned higher than PT

This is intriguing, could i ask how much you had cut off the splt collars and primary faces and did you just take .100" off the helix instead of .050" off helix and .050" off secondary? The key to all those seeking better top end is to have both the primary and secondary clutches machines to allow the shift up to overdrive. I don’t want to “be like that” but too often people come out with statements that are more than mildly upsetting to those of us who have made the investment, taken the time, researched, torn down and rebuilt these sleds, and traveled to see first hand what needs to be done to make a sled put the most horsepower to the track as possible and still have a reliable set-up.No need to be like that.
I know these sleds can do that speed in that distance, but need to be tuned higher than PT
I apologize to you for taking offense to your negative comment.
I’m attaching a video of a stock sled with a TD power trail tune that runs considerably faster than my sled. I’ve tried to set my sled up as close to this sled and we are both running pump 91 octane at 16lbs of boost. I can’t tell you why two similar setups are that far apart on top end, but we are tweaking things each time out. I suspected his blowoff valve may be sticking and his boost is higher than he thinks. I’ve eliminated the stock bov and replaced it with a higher end valve.

To be honest on the exact machining specs I’m not 100% sure. I would ask a shop known for doing these. I had mine done. This is intriguing, could i ask how much you had cut off the splt collars and primary faces and did you just take .100" off the helix instead of .050" off helix and .050" off secondary?

Very impressive. Powertrail has been great tune for many trail guys also. Either of you gents trying different slides? I like the super slippery from Wahl Brothers racing. Drill some holes through the slides. Should be good for 1-3 mph? I do not drill mine but I like them and I feel they really cut friction down.
