My Simons CPR Attak on dyno, WOW

Im having the same questions pop up now with my Alpine front mount I hit 155mph on the weekend on the speedo and its scaring me to wonder how fast I am going. I don't know what the track is doing under it at this point. I ended up cartwheeling mine across the lake this weekend hit a chunk of ice at probably 120 and it come down sideways. Nothing a little fiberglass resin won't fix and a new set of bars these are tough sleds.

We have a Ice/road race here between Alaska and the Yukon , 100 miles each way with a 1 hour stop at the turn around. The fast sleds average out in the 120+ MPH range. Anyone here will tell you that no track wit studs will be able to maintain above 130 MPH . 10 minutes of 130+ and the track explodes. it comes down to maintain the highest average speed uphill and through corners because any length of time over 130 and you will be without a track. No turbo sled ever won the race cause the track can't handle the speed. This year it was a SRX again that won even though the turbos were over 20MPH faster on top speed.

His posting on his website was with an earlier design on his turbo kit. There has been some changes now that has driven the HP claims up with more testing and tuning. 7.5 lbs of boost & 235 hp on a STOCK motor is his money back guarantee now.

Thanks for clearing that up Allen. I figured it was some misprinting from the RX1 kit or something....

..got yours running yet?

87gtNOS, What you got off their website was prior to dyno testing. You have it backwards as far as the timeframe. It went up by 35 HP! As for what i did with the additional head gaskets and added boost. That was my doing, as I thought I would like more power. Oh, it makes more power and is very well too much for trail use and the Rip-Saw track under it. I would highly recommend only using the baseline kit at 7.5 lbs. It is more than you would need. Trust me. My 12 pound setup is reserved for only the very smart rider that isn't going to blow the track out of it. It pulls so hard, you can only stay in the throttle for maybe 5-6 seconds for fear of blowing the track. Don't get me wrong, you can ride all day at lower speeds just fine, you just never use the last 1/2 to 3/4 throttle on the trail. 12 lbs is more suited for the lake racer type. Which is what I wanted. Problem is if you race someone once, they'll never race you again. I'm quite sure that there is not another pump gas trail machine out there that will run with this animal I have. Hope that helps. Mike Knapp#17

How many riders blew there track up in the race? I assume the 1 hour stop is a beer break ;)!

I agree with Mike 100% on this one my sled on 12 psi is very well to much power for the trails, or the track under it. Never in my life have I ridden something that pulls like this.

Ordered a kit for the Apex Mountain. Will let you guys know how it works at 8000ft and above. I'm really happy the way the sled runs stock can't wait for boost. Sold the RT for the Apex and all my friends said I'm nuts.
There now looking for used Apex's. Out runs and climbs with there 800's.
Only thing changed on the sled is the track put the new skidoo track on had it laying around for my RT. Works way better than the stock track in most conditions.

Allen, does this mean you have it running? skidoo, You will love it! Boost is perfect for the mountains!

Mike, getting closer! Of course all that's left now is all that little crap that takes the longest! :o| There's snow on the ground though and no sight of any warm weather anytime soon, but that means local customers keep bringing stuff to get fixed too (anyone want a full-time job overhauling 2-strokes??).
