hey guys, i am so close to getting a xtx but the only thing that worries me is the weight. I have riden rev's my whole life and love the light weight feel. can you guys tell me what you think about the weight issue? thanks

I went from a 2007 rev to an 2009 RTX.. The Nytro is better in many respects(big bump capability/fit and finish/reliabilty/motor). However, the rev is better in the tight twisty trails. I feel more planted and confident cornering with the REV. I also felt is was slightly easier to maneuver in the powder. The Nytro is more fun for me overall. I would never go back. Now i would look at a new etec or 4tec XP.. When the time comes for new sled this will be a difficult choice. But rev to Nytro not even a consideration. Good luck

I agree. The rev setup is as good as it gets on the trail. But the nytro is a blast to ride. Yes as discussed many of times there are ways to get the nytro to handle better but nomatter what you do it is not gonna have that low planted feel of the rev

The reliability is what gets me the most, never really ever hear of nytros blowing up.

And you can make your nytro handle pretty damn good, and like^^ everyone else said not as good as the rev. But still a fun sled to ride. Never go back to a 2 stroke again

Weight? I ride 'em not carry 'em. The weight issue is so OVERBLOWN in my opinion. I have had light sleds sleds that handle like crap because they are TOO light. They twitch and react to every little trail irregularity. Sometimes a little weight is not a bad thing. Everytime I ride a REV chassis I can't wait to get off.

i'm a x college football player and still pound the weights hard so i know i can throw around any sled with no problem, just needed some opinions, thanks for the input guys

Garage, trailer and slow speed manueving are the only time you question the weight. If the sled is set up handling wise it feels much lighter then the scale reads. I dont pound weights if that matters lol
