New '11 Apex sneek peek!

hopfully this is the 1011 vector
That's what I'm thinking, 2011 Vector!!
I don't think Yamaha would leak these pics if this was the new Apex, I think this is the Vector and something else is coming, but we won't know until Feb 2nd.

Its got Ontario TRAIL PASS...I guess we'll have to watch out for it and keep a camera handy, the rear part of the tunnel looks strangely to FX Nytro's, they got rid of that rear heavy casting APEX/VECTOC had, the front "A" arms look smaller to the Vector style, I think that its a revised VECTOR and the vid is a APEX cuz the EXHAUST in the vid is different looks like a R1 road bike style set-up and the rear bumper is also different from the vid...

I've been told just under 160HP

That's probably the rated hp. Just like the 130Plus hp of the Nytro... I'm thinking it's probably closer to 168.

true, 168 would be nice, but is it worth $11,000 when you can spend $2,200 for a Yamacharger

Yes, but what heppens when you add a Yamaha charger to this new sled. 188-190hp?

Same chassis we've been running since 2003 and Apex since 2006. Same mono-shock susp. Little different look to the plastics and seat. Whats to get excited about? Typical Yamaha being conservative again. If they would bring something different I'd be on one again. Till then I'll be on the best trail sled I've ever ridden. My 210 HP turbo XR1200!

Is that tunnel tipped at bit at the back. Look at the pics and you will see what I mean. I don't think my Apex did that.

Yamaha has dropped the ball here for sure. If they think Power steering is the game changer they kidding themselves.

Custom built sleds don't count...

As much as CR denounced it, this motor definately has cross-plane crank..

couldn't see the purpose of a cross plane crank in a sled with cvt transmission, from what i understand the cross plane design helps with a more controlable torque application on a bike so it can lay down lower on its rear tire without spinning out. but it is yamaha who knows what there up to, I'll just wait and see on feb 2 to see if i order a new yam or go to something else

keep reading about cross plane bike engine, really not into bike, so clueless. anybody with a link or basic explaination of design. are we talking inline or boxer? I wouldn't mind seeing a light sled with a snotty v twin
