Supposedly, Yamaha is having a sled ride in Hammond, Ontario on Sat. Jan.23, 2016.
Someone on here stated that they will be bringing 2017 MY sleds.
Can anyone actually confirm that this info is true.
I would bet that they will be bringing 2016 MY, NOT 2017.
Anyone heard something more on the 2017 models? Dealers in Sweden are starting to dump prices on 2016 SRVipers by $3000 or more. Is this becuase new model reveal will kill the market, or just bad sales? My 2 cents is that something is actually brewing...
How are sales of Apex & Vector in Sweden? All sled sales in USA slow due to bad snow year. I would think Apex & Vector would be the sleds that would have a makeover Viper probably unchanged in 2017.Anyone heard something more on the 2017 models? MCX have broken the new "updated" rods on the dyno both in the 190 hp kit and the bigger kits, so this isn't about the MPI controllers with incorrect programming. The updated internals on the motors don't hold up like the old internals did.The issue with the Viper was on MPI'S plate, bad boost controller. So lets stop.
Yep makes sense with greater understanding of your turbo market & track length. USA Vipers get turbos too but far less than in Sweden so Viper Yamaha best seller here all track lengths. Rods probably is an issue in Sweden & reason for discount.Apex and vector dont sell up here. Some Apex only mabye. Viper with 144 and longer tracks are the one selling. (Norway/Sweeden). 153LE mtx i think tops the list. And its not far from half of all vipers are turboed.
So when the news about the new engine with the week!! Rods the sale stopped! And thats why i think they are dropping the price. But it still makes me wonder. Why dropp the price if the machine is the same in 2017? New rods or new chassi is still an option. Mabye only for the scandinavian market?

The MCX kit isn't supported by Yamaha, so owners that buy that kit are on there own. And if your going to boost big time spend the money buy the proper rods wether it be Carillo etc, and invest in a cylinder stud and nut kit.
