I'm all for a lower priced sled but the Phazer motor in the Viper Chassis makes no sense. I can go buy a Brand new Arctic Cat 5000 LXR with the 120hp four stroke motor for 8 Grand ! and it has 40 more HP. Now if it had 100 hp and $ 6500 I might buy 2 of them ...

Sorry, just thought I'd share for some more confirmation on what everyone is already thinking.I though most of us already agreed on Sidewinder, Viper re-work chassis with XYZ turbo motor. Lets stop the re-ash. lol

No worries. I understand the thread is long to read it all. Just us crazy enough to follow it from the start and things becomes redundant. lol
While I am at it, no 2 stroke engine from Yamaha and no Snow Bike. CR already confirmed it and anyone beveling different than what a Yamaha blog is telling us is a fool or a dreamer.

I just hope they don't come out with something I can't live without, lol. If I have to tell my wife I ordered another new sled I might be sleeping with it out in the shop.

That phazer motor would be perfect for a v twin grizzlyWonder where the Phazer motor will end up. I always thought it would be a good idea to put it in the Delta box for an awesome entry level sled. Makes sense they never did trying to push the 4-wheeler style chassis which was not very newbee friendly and I think they shot themselves in the foot on that one. If the Apex gets a new chassis this year, makes sense to continue the Vector to use up all the leftover delta box chassis inventory. Maybe try the phazer motor in it too. As some have suggested, might see the Phazer motor in a Viper chassis which would be a good thing too.

Hopefully with all the hype and hoopla, its worth the wait, not just another method to get people attention and be a flop.

Couple things wrong with that. The 500 is an inline twin, not a v twin. The 500 also likes rpm and suffers low end torque needed in a utility. Now a banshee replacement would be a different story.

Banshee with the 80hp twin, 6 speed gearbox, True dual exhaust around the sides. Id buy the #*$&@ outa that.

If that's all it takes then its easily worth it.
