New Exhaust Dual and Single

I just read a bit closer and figured out it was for the single. Is that a straight through pipe or does it have inner walls for back-pressure?

Prav I need to look back but if I remember right way back I believe I leaned the sled out using the factory adjustment on the dash.I will take out the quiet core and let you know. There are all kinds of configurations that can be used including a screen which is my favorite on the quads since its no real restriction but just the screen mellows out the noise quite a bit.I need to check but most of his endcaps also use same bolt pattern size as the common Supertrapp disc size so that is another possibility for power.I am going to try to find someone local with a Dyno to try to get all these combos tested before I go to Ulmers since just the exhaust combos alone could easily take up a good day of dyno testing and I really want to use that time wisely since I really want to try some of Ulmers Intake mods and I am sure he will want to work his magic on the clutching.
Speaking of clutching.I have Aaens roller secondary on my SRX.It makes tuning it so easy and shift so smooth but I am worried that if I use that system on my Phazer the backshifting will be way to fast and engine braking will be much worse. If not for that I would put the system on using old v-max secondary.I asked Aaen what we could do about the engine braking.Lighter spring was suggested. But I could see the question got his gears turning. He said the Nytro has a IACV valve that slightly opens to reduce the engine braking. Now I know we Phazer owners dont have that
because our IACV is nothing more than a coolant controlled thermostat for the bypass at least. Is there another way?I am happy with my engine braking now but I have stock clutches with Ulmers kit in them which helped lessen engine braking also.
Berge75 my Nytro buddy also said Yamaha had a patent application for a slipper type clutch or one way bearing which would also work to reduce engine braking. All kinds of things to think about!

Sounds like a sprag bearing. They have been around for ages. Car transmissons. Even in helicopters to.

Time for the cutting to begin! As you know I have a bet that with tuning the true duals(right to head)will outperform the single which did beat both true duals and fake duals. Here is some more pics of all 3 systems.Shame to cutup the fake duals to make them true but I dont like all the bends anyway.

Notice the braided material he uses for stock headpipe where it is cut and new pipe slid on.It is something I never saw before and looks just like our donuts once tightened and squished.Almost like lead.

Guys take a look at your heatshields.Mine the fibre is completely gone on top and falling out on bottom. That is definitly a fire hazard and needs to be replaced right away.Looks like after 2 seasons the manifolds which were tig welded after cracking off are holding perfectly.Notice the weld on outside.Stockers were only on inside.Boy I am excited for this year.

I couldnt cut the fake duals up.They just sound way to cool to do that.So I am going to buy some more silencers from Aaen for the duals. So here is some Pics and sound clips of single. The Supertrap discs do work on it.Also show where you cut stock header.I previously had another make exhaust so I would say if you had one within a inch of this cut it would still work. Also notice how the bracket for the stock exhaust guard is moveable. That is kind of nice since you can really position this exhaust well without putting pressure on anything else.

He needed a sled to prototype the exhausts on.I told him he could use mine if he made me a dual exhaust. So short answer is I didnt pay anything. He doesnt want to make duals since they didnt produce as much power as single.BUT he did not tune.So I am hoping with tuning they will make more and he will make them.I dont know if he made a jig for duals. But thats not a big deal.I tried getting him to make a Phazer exhaust for two years now and he wouldnt but like I said alot asked for them at Haydays so he did it.If alot ask for duals I am sure they will get made.Call him.

Cool!Hoping to get to him to get this thing working to full potential if it beats the Excell will set you up with one.

Cant wait to see that on race day.

Was that your (unmod) phazer I saw at the race school? Jesse said something about it being yours.

I liked you comment about AC on the facebook uscc page!!! That was a good one.

Yes the sled at the USCC school was my Stocker. Thatsled had RSI carbon bars. Fox Evol R shocks and Rear fox shocks. Other than that it was a stock sled
