I just bought a set of these new scratchers. They look quite interesting

I bought them from C&T Power Sports

You can take them off by just unscrewing the nut.

How stiff are they? By looking at the pics, it looks like they would fold flat and hardly do anything when under way?

I am also curious, being as they are on the back of the ski, how hard it is going to be to steer your sled?

Probably a non issue on an EPS equipped sled, but might be an armful on a non EPS sled?

Looking forward to reading some reviews on them.

They are much stiffer than I thought.

I can't figure out how to post a vid

Looking at the video, these scratchers might just work quite well. Durability is always the case with new products on the market, time will tell.

My biggest concern so far is with my snowtrackers on they will not be touching the ice if I am on a bare patch of ice on the lake

We have done the same for years , just put a Woodys stud in at the rear of the ski upside down !!! Works great !!! Carbide doesnt wear out , stud only touches when in snow , if on hard surface it is in the air !

These guys have been using bolts on the skis as scratchers, basically the same principle as the carbide stud. Stud would last longer and probably dig more into hard ice.

I like the spring steel concept but a few times a day I use reverse, looks like that may be hard on them. Any thoughts or experience?
