the ski bolt looks much more effective as it throws it on the front of the track rather then twards the rear of the track.

That's a good point with the stud and bolt idea, you really have to work out something for reverse.
I wasn't even thinking about that.

Maybe in reverse, the Ski-z scratchers just spin around backwards and back the other way when going forward again if that screw know isn't tight.
With any of these, it's the performance of glare ice that is the question.

correct they spin around so you can backup without taking them off.

Seeing how they are mounted to the bottom of the ski. How do they work when loading them on a trailer?

they recommend taking he off before trailering. I take them off and mount them on top of the ski so they don't take up space in my luggage.

stud
If if the upside down stud you are asking about , it is in the air in the trailer , touches nothing ! Only touches when the ski is deeper in the snow !

Re: stud
Any issues backing up? Does the ski rock lowering the rear and causing a problem or does the ski itself prevent excessive rock thus preventing any reverse issues?
If no reverse issues this could be the cheapest fix for cooling/slide lube IMHO....
Thanks!

no issues using for 5 years +
The odd trailer may have a piece of angle iron to hook , just watch as you go over it ! The ski will flex , stud is tough , use a regular stud washer on the bottom , works great !
Puts up a nice spray 24/7
