I just jumped ship from Arctic Cat to Yamaha. I picked up a left over 2012 FX Nytro 121" for a great deal and am looking for some input. I am putting the new tuner skis and 96 studs on the sled. Just wondering if the tuner skis help take care of the handling issues or should I be spending my money on something else? Also any suggestions for storage on the sled, I don't ride with much so will the windshield bag be enough?

Hi and welcome to the site. The 2012 with the Tuner Skis is a must... you will really like the changes that have been made to the sled since its intro. I use rear seat bag/saddle bag, was not a big fan of the shield bag and or the tank bag.

Thanks for the reply. I generally don't really carry much when I ride, cell phone, wallet, hat etc. so not sure if I need all the storage the saddlebags provide. Do they make a smaller trunk bag that looks good for the 121's?

The windshiled bag may work for you then.

You can also view all the accessories on line from one of those links.

I had a skinz bag that rode on the top of the back of the seat able to fit two bigger poweraide bottles in there. Straps rivited to the tunnel. Not big and bulky so it looked good.
Welcome to team blue

ul like the tuner skis. The tank bag does get in the way if youre really leaning in the turs but if ur just a cruiser and dont lean much the tank bag is great. I have the one that just straps around the foot holders and around the filler neck. Enjoy the 4 stroke power, its addictive. Welcome to the site too. ;)!

Welcome to the Blue side... Enjoy.... Lots of info here... Tuner skis for mine this fall.. Cant wait to try them out over stock skis..

Does anyone have any advice as to what carbides to run on the tuner skis? My dealer was suggesting 6" on the inside and no carbide on the outside.

I would think you would like something on the outside? New ski so not to many guys have been able to try them yet.
