I've read that the New 2016 Sleds Have this new Tuner 3 Ski. I wonder if you can purchase just the skis yet at a yamaha dealer?? I'm interested in trying a set for my 2014, now that you can change the loop colors. Didn't care for the all black Tuner ski.

Where did you read up on this new Tuner ski?

The new sled info says they have both the tuner 2 and tuner 3.

IMO if you're going to spend money on new skis go with Curves.

Why Curves?
That's his opinion. Everybody has one. They are good skis. I used them for a season. I agree with the above. I would use good aftermarket skis over Tuners.

Finally got a good ride this weekend with the curves on and OMG night and day difference to the tuners.
Sled in the stock setup except for 68psi in the float 3's.
Tuner Skis 6" Bergstrom TriplePoint carbides inside and hard weld bar outside: Push Push Push in the turns unless in very hard packed snow. Very easy to turn the bars though zero darting. Unable to turn on pavement (road crossing/gas station..)
Curves: no leading edge, 4" stock carbides that came w/the skis: The sled goes where you point it. It now rails around anyplace. I have a darting issue, but I think it is an alignment issue. I was in a hurry to just get the skis on for the weekend and I have a cold and did not take the time to align them. With these skis I can hold the extreme right hand side of the trail even that part wayy out right in that snow that gets shoved off to the side from sleds where normally if you get into that you continue straight off the trail. Not w/these I just rode right through it. Also had a chance where we were behind a groomer and he was making that annoying little berm of snow next to the drag. I planted myself right on top of that mess and rode it for a bit till we finally passed him. Stayed planted right on it. When at the gas station I could pull right up to the pump and drive a 180 right around on the bare pavement to get back to the trail. None of that skidding straight across the lot with skis turned till you finally hit some ice or an edge, like my buddy with c&a's or my dad with the above tuner setup^. I will say that I think the steering effort is greater with the curves though. Not that it's harder to steer but um more like that you actually feel resistance now because the skis are holding in the snow and are not just flopping around. These skis require you to relearn how to turn. You just push them a little. You don't actually crank them like normal. Give them a little pressure and the thing holds and turns. In hard pack they turn so well you will get quite a bit of inside ski lift if you get a little too aggressive. So Its a win in my book. I just need to check my alignment and work out my darting issue. I know its not that I need the leading edge or something because it was present in all the conditions over the weekend in 250 miles. Has to be alignment. If you do get these skis make sure you have the space in your trailer. At their wide parts they are 7" wide.
