Has anyone tried the dyno-tab octane booster? Just looking at them because of the ease of carrying them on the sled.
For background I have the the Hurricane 225/240/270 flash with the 3 bar sensor and GFB blow off valve. I am getting alarms at about 8200/8300 rpm from the knock sensor. I've already taken care of the clamps on the throttle body/head. I have not tried any octane boosters yet. Not sure if I'm getting crap 91 octane fuel or not...

Never tried the tabs. Could be bad fuel. Could be a tired fuel pump?

I read about the fuel pump, knock sensor, air leaks, and bad fuel.... Who knows, almost regretting doing the reflash at this point... Ran great before the flash.

The engine should not be lugged down at 8200 and 8300 RPM. Get it up closer to 8900.

That's just it, at 8300 rpm the knock sensor is flashing. Do you think I should remove some weight off the primary? The engine should not be lugged down at 8200 and 8300 RPM. Get it up closer to 8900.

Yes. What is the clutch set up and tune HP you are trying to run?

I am attempting to tune for the 270hp. I have the BMP Stage 2 kit , 68-90 gram I also have the torsional conversion set in the middle hole. The current weight set up is 3 3 2 2 which is 82 grams.

I would pull some weight to get rpms higher I struggle with similar problems. I’m currently at 76.6 on DTAY-1 ‘s. Hope that does it for you it’s a very frustrating problem

I think 82 grams is too much, I would start closer to 78.

So I ran it today out on the lake (ungroomed 4 to 6 inches) and ended up with 76.4 grams for 8800-8900 and didn't see a knock light. I might have to fine tune a little more when I actually get on a groomed trail but at least I'm in the ballpark. Thank you guys for the help.

I am running an 1 3/4 track with 21-41 gears. The secondary is the BMP torsional conversion, I think the spring is orange.
