I finally got around to replacing my carbides on my sled with the bergstrom tripple, when i took out the factory carbides there was nothing left, there was no carbide and most of the metal was gone.
I would think with only 369 miles that they would not wear that fast. I do not do that much road riding, the most road riding i do is crossing the street. Are these carbides that bad?
My buddy who rides a doo was there when i took them out and he was surprised as well, he said those look like they came from a cat...
So i guess to warn eveyone replace the oem carbides right away?
Just thought when you spend about 9k they would give you a little more but i guess as allways i am wrong

Yeah the stock 4" or whatever they came with were terrible, second thing that came off my sled before I put any miles on it.
It's not just road crossings, you guys need snow,

carbides
I was so surprised, i fiqured i could leave them on for another season but my sled was turning like crap last year so I decided to upgrade to a better carbide.
Now i know why they turn like doo-doo, there was nothing, no carbide and most of the metal was gone, the only good they were doing was keeping the road or ice from hitting the plastic..
Is this more amunition for my doo buddies?

The stock carbides are just a sick joke...replace them asap with at least 6" or more and enjoy a whole new ride.

the dealer we got my wifes from told us flat out. The carbides were junk. He wouldnt feel right not letting us know. He didnt force us to buy new ones just wanted us to keep a close eye on them. I had plans to upgrade already to an 8 inch.

I bought the bergstrom tripple point 8" for mine, they look nice, have not used the sled yet due to no snow untill this week and trails just opened up in my area today so no report, all i know is that the oem one's were shot after only 369 miles.

My OEM 'carbides' saw 0 (Zero) miles on my sled. Were replaced with 6" Dooly's.

I feel it is like buying a car and getting a few hundred miles on the tires and then their bald and the company doesn't blink twice to put them on future models.
