Old guys on Winders

Lmao..me too. Early 1990’s...I had no money to Afford bibs(every cent I had went into the old used sled I had at the time), rode in long johns, and jeans and Steel toed Carolina boots, for my first few years of going away snowmobiling on wknd trips. Girlfriend at the time bought me my first pair of bibs for my birthday in mid March 1992....and I couldn't believe the difference, I was amazed how much better it was.

Young, dumb and real Broke...but man scraping every cent together just to be able to go away and ride was so much fun..it didn’t matter.

i still have 1/2 of my first adult outfit and it still fits. wore the old used leather polaris racing bibs out that a guy sold my dad that went with the wolco parka (fur lined hood) my mom bought me in my teens for going ice fishing and sledding with a set of steel toe sorrel boots and home knit mitts. still have my yellow skunk stripe hemet too. always fixed my dads sleds and rode them until i bought my 1st sled new in 1999 (betsy) and still own it. got into the faster sleds in 04 and the gear evolved/upgraded from there as well as the sleds. about then is when i was introduced to ty by my brother.

might not own a winder yet but still love sledding and enjoy introducing others to the sport.

50 years young and wouldn't give the SW up for nothing

Just bought my first snowmobile at 66. A 2020 SRX

lol...now there you go!! Gonna do something, might as well do it RIGHT!!

I’m assuming you’ve ridden a sled before though..have some experience??? If not..just be careful and get the hang of it...these Winders are a lot of Sled...in fact they’re the top dogs, so just be careful and have fun.

Almost 66 and going. been riding since 1966. have two winders, his and hers. lol

I was thinking my post my might raise some concerns and I appreciate them. Life long motorcycle roadracer. Custom race bike and car builder. I have hundreds of miles on my brothers sidewinder. Also ordered the 270 tune intake and exhaust plus inter cooler.

Trail riding in the Wind River and Wyoming range feels just like being on the race track on my motorcycle! So I figured I should just get the full roadrace snowmobile. The thing is we are the only ones doing it here. I bought the sled from Port Yamaha in Wis. I am a ski instructor at Jackson Hole so if there is powder I am on my skis.

You young guys, I tell 'ya! Thank goodness my knees gave out a long time ago so I could snowmobile and get rid of my skis!! Lol
