Your right spindle is deffinatly more verticle then the left. I would check that lower right a-arm again.

Add me to the list of 08's with bent subframes. I was gonna try and strap the rear of my sled down, and the take a winch and hook it to the bottom of the spindle and try to pull it back into place. Its not even so much the issue of trying to get a dealer to warranty it, I don't want it held up a few weeks sitting in a repair shop as winter winds by.

I had to look several times to notice. Only fix is to replace the subframe. I was quoted at the dealer around twelve hundred bucks. He also said most of the failures are caused loading on to a trailer catching a carbide or crossing a road. Good luck with your replacement.
Ya I looked under again and paid even more attention to that circle area and I did find a small tweek in that area. Man its hard for me to believe that that small tweek in that circle area can cause so much damage.

With all the subframe's that have bent out there, they better warranty it. If not then I'll have to figure something else out I'm not dropping $1200 for a subframe. It's not our fault for poor design. We can't help that our trails are alot of time ruff. Yesterday was the first time they groomed trails around by me and now its 34 degrees outside and the trails are already dirt. I'm sorry for the rant, but this is why I bought the extended warranty so I know I'm covered. Already called the dealer and they told me to bring it in next week.

For those of you who have bent your subframes, Did it affect your handling? On mine anything over about 40 mph my sled is all over the place, very hard to control.

Mine hasn't affected my handling at all, yet. I'm just annoyed that it's bent and seening the shock not centerd is frustrating.

For those of you who have seen a "bare" subframe out of the sled, then you know how little metal is used for mounting points for the A-arms. Bending it back will "fix" it temporarily, but increases the risks of complete failure of a mounting point. If this happens at any kind of speed, bend over and kiss your a$$ good bye.
I bent mine ('08) right away and had it replaced under warranty. When the riding season was over, I took the subframe out and had the A-arm mounting points gusseted and welded out the way they should have been.
It isn't what I wanted to do, but had to do to eliminate any future problems. There has to be a weak point somewhere, it just isn't a very conveiniant spot. It is easier than replacing a 'nun' on a Doo.

Mines been tweaked for Two season's. Took it off last year and 'beefed' it up. Mine bent as a result of pilot error though.

yea have lost track of how many times i have bent my upper a arms back.NyTrOMaNIaC said:It's probably your A arms that are bent if there's no sign of a tweak in the subframe. I had to straighten things out last year before I had the 09 subframe put in. Use a large prybar, and leverage it between the upper and lower A arms close to the spindle by pulling back on the prybar until the shock is centered between the upper arm. It sounds kinda iffy, but you'll be surprised at how quick you can put things back into place with a lil persuasion.
