hmm interesting.I was told today 8JP length but it will be a new belt because of the different sheave angle. Until I get a parts diagram I can't confirm

From Yamaha USA Facebook:
Did you know: The Genesis 998 Turbo has 2 oil pressure sensors for low and high engine speeds. The black sensor is the low rpm sensor. It shuts off the engine when the engine is at 4400 rpm or less and senses low oil. The gray one steps down the engine incrementally if it senses low oil above 4400 rpm
Did you know: The Genesis 998 Turbo engine has an oil AND a coolant circuit just for the IHI turbo unit. Gotta keep that baby cool and safe!

But they do have two sensors there. So how do the vipers work? Is this their fix for when the sled is in vertical situations? No not a high AND low sensor with rpm shut down control.

Just like a new car. It's a real easy fix. Don't buy one.

the motor and its sensors etc are kick #*$&@...one beautifully designed piece...if you are afraid of protection sensors you should'nt be running with the big dogs (200+ hp and boost)
any idea how the jackshaft sensor comes into play...traction control lol?

Yeah really, its just i don't take my car in northern areas 200 km from any civilization then beat it to a pulp in busted trails for 400 miles at max Revolutions , minus 25 Celcius and doubtfull gas ...so you can't really compare the two situations, but i'm sure you already new that...Just like a new car. It's a real easy fix. Don't buy one.
