A few weeks ago it was -35C and my Phazer overheat light kept coming on and the fan was kicking in. Yesturday I went out and it was +2 and it never came on at all. So when its cold it overheats and when its hot is doesnt if this makes sence? Is anyone else having this problem? Is there somthing wrong the temprature sending unit?

My guess is that at -35 that an ice shell form over the tunnel exchanger and didn't allow snow to cool it and the radiator alone wasn't enough to keep it cool.

Did you check your antifreeze mixture. The antifreeze may be gelling up at that temp.???

Yep antifreeze is good. There was snow packed over the coolers but there was the other day when it was warm too but maybe not as much? Thanks for the replies!
You have the fan on yours?

in -35 the snow is really hard and probably was not getting the heat exchanger. Ive had your exact same situation happen before. No snow on the heat exchangers will make it overheat

That's my guess. My friends Vector was overheating until he figured it out with the rock hard trails.zackn291 said:in -35 the snow is really hard and probably was not getting the heat exchanger. Ive had your exact same situation happen before. No snow on the heat exchangers will make it overheat
