I was riding yesterday i n Hurley, WI with 2 guys. We did about 40 miles turning and burning came out to rail grade in Saxon I dropped the hammer and got to 116 mph and it went into limp mode and shut off almost throwing me over the bars. I pulled over it read 217 f and flashed the code. It did not smell hot did not push out any fluid. I pulled the plug in the overflow tank and coolant was just warm to the touch.
I let it cool down to 165 and started off made about 60 ft and it went to 217 again didi this 5 times to get to bear trap inn.
I sent the other 2 on and called for my truck and trailer. I was 1 hour from it so I waited for 1/2 hour went out started it and ride a quick 5 miles and it never reached 170??????? The same thing happens on my 14 2 years ago anyone else have thus happen?

Yes fan normal direction I believe it is the sensor or computer it went from 165 to 217 in 60 ft and less than 5 min back down to 165
