Can factory matched paint be bought at automotive paint stores, can they mix it specific to Yamaha colors. I bought an '06 vector hood to replace my '07 venture hood which I smashed and I assumed the blues were the same. The venture is a darker blue.

Colorrite does not list blue for my year and model, they only list black, I also looked at other models and they have a blue for vectors but my venture blue is different

That must be it, thanks, now if I could only cross reference it to PPG or dupont or some other locally available paint.

You can't, so just pay the piper. I owned a bodyshop for most of my life.

Go to your local Carquest and get them to scan piece of the old hood, see if it comes up with a match.

They will be able to scan and it will come up with an unknown .so you have to buy from color rite if you are looking for the Yamaha team blue I have some I do not need.
I took my sled to a autobody shop and they had some fancy camera... took pics up against the cowl and it spit the code into the computer. Came up "yamaha" in their computer. Dead nut match to my warrior...... I will look for the old can with the code on it for ya..
