I have a 2004 Warrior with 1500 miles, I feel a slight vibration in the sled starting at 75 mph to 100mph? Also having problems keeping both ski's on the ground in tight turns? Is synthetic oil better to use than yamaha cold weather oil? and if so which synthetic? Is the factory clutch ok or should I change it? and why and what brand? I would appreciate any info. Thanks,

The clutch is great, the weights aren't. Talk to Matt www.thespeedshop1.com for a kit.
Regular synthetic automotive oil, 5w30 is great for RX1 - makes it MUCH easier to start in cold weather. Do NOT put in synthetic until you have 2000+ miles on the sled.
Vibration can be caused by a number of things;
out of balance clutch (primary or secondary), bent or loose suspension component, blown belt, etc.

LB,
How did the S2 clutch kit affect your gas mileage? Did yo see any decrease? How would you rate the performance improvement you got with the S2 clutch kit for the money spent? Thanks!

To the best of my ability to detect, it hasn't affected fuel consumption.
I can't really rate it, since its the ONLY performance upgrade I've done. Everything else I've done has been for traction and handling.
What I can tell you about it is this; with a 121" track, there is so much more power going to the track that there is NOTHING that can stop it from spinning like a toyota in a mud pit.

I have an 03 RX1 with the stock track. I'm planning on upgrading to the ripsaw track for next season. Are you saying that the S2 clutch kit will be a waste of money due to poor traction with the stock track? even on hardpack trails? How about with the new track? Thanks!

I'm not saying anything about it being a waste of money. I'm saying that use of it is subject to your level of control, UNLESS you do the smart thing and buy yourself some REAL TRACTION (like I did). For me, holeshot is not an issue, its off like lightning.
With the stock track, chances are great that you'll just blow up the track with that kit. With a 121 ripsaw, you will DEFINITELY see performance improvement. For use of S2 with 144 ripsaw, consult a mortician.
