Phazer Build

I hope somone could make an upgrade to the rear skid that uses the rear skid, maybe new holes for different arms and shocks, the timbersled rear end is 1600, seems like alot, especially when i paid 3800 for my mtn lite with 600 miles.

Thats what you get, Is new lightweight arms and new float shocks.
IF you were to buy a set of Ohlins for the rear you would still have a lot of money in to the stock skid and It wouldnt save any weight. There are cheaper options like different springs.

Well, it's been a while since any updates on here so I will post some pics.

I decided to build a muffler using a small glasspack out of the butchered stock muffler.

I also started into my wiring, only to find out that MCX has neglected to update the instructions as the kit changed. Although this was not in any way the fault of Prince George Yamaha, they have found the answers for me and are sending me some new wire harnesses and instruction. Don, Randy, and Harley sp? have been great and gotten this figured out very quickly. ;)!

No difference in the miring between 07 mtx and 08 mtx. The wiring differences were between the 3rd ? version of this kit and the version (1st)? that the instructions were written for. updates are a new connector from the efi box and wideband lambda sensor/display, as well, the blue and brown wires on the sled to efi harness are replaced with wires with a connector for the air solenoid. They also included a diagram of the sled to efi connector.

I noticed that you closed off the hole in the front of your tunnel. You might want to keep a real close eye on the temps under your fuel tank. When I closed mine off like that with my header wrapped the metal on the sub frame and heat shields got so hot you couln't touch it. I could also feel a fair bit of heat in the plastic on the fuel tank as well. I ended up removing my block off panel. You might want to install some kind of shield between your exhaust and charge tube so you can keep MAT temps down as much as possible.

I closed mine off to protect the header wrap but it got too hot so I removed it. I have since had to wrap the header twice due to it falling off and am just going to send it out to get coated this year. I am going to get the shields around the expansion joints coated as well because the insulation started falling off.

i am seeing that to but my wrap is holding up good were did u route that oil return line looks like i need to reroute it is wearing alittle bite

thats wear i had it it was wear on the shaft iam taking the hose in to get longer going over the jack shaft and down
