Power surge mpi turbo price drop!

Spring ordered a 2016 no turbo and I just got a letter from Yamaha saying that I can upgrade to a turbo kit for $2400. No mention of how the warranty situation changes. Getting me thinking that it's worth it now for that price.

Convince me that its a need vs. a want!
I got the same letter last year and decided to go with the Turbo. I am 1000% glad I did. The sled was mildly fun stock, but after Turbo installed it makes me smile ear to ear every time I ride it. This is a MUST, IMO. You will not be disappointed.

I spring orderd a viper with the turbo.

Additional cost-
Gearing 200 dollars
Gauges roughly 300
clutch kit 500 can dollars
Install is going to be around 1200.

But if you think you ever want to turbo it now is the time 4500 dollar kit for 2400 with a warranty.

I personally can't wait!!

what can I say that will convince you? I ordered my from the factory with an included turbo. Yes I know its put on at the dealer but my original sale had the turbo and the installation included. I have since bought an Ulmer clutch kit, AEM gauges and other toys for it. I guess what I am trying to say is that I put my money where my mouth is. Do it. If you don't you will have Option Envy (tm) every time one of us comes on board and complains how much our jaws hurt from smiling so much.

So there is no price drop really? $2400 is the same price as least year for the low elevation kit with the EBC. The Mtn sleds last year qualified for the $2200 kit for 6000 feet and above with no EBC (fixed). But if you run below 6000 feet it was recommended to add the EBC kit which brings your $2200 kit back up to $2400.

The price last year was $2200 for the low elevation kit with the EBC and $2000 for the MTN kit. The price actually went up $200 from last year.

its a different kit from mpi this year remember, electronic waist gate and new muffler, and some different tuning. so last years price is not really important.

It would be a good price if everything was included. Like gauges, gearing, clutch kit, clutch machining, installing it, I will just hold it to the pin longer and drive it in to the corner farther and brake less and save all that money for more riding.

Well I guesse.

Looks like I'm riding a turbo RTX-LE this season! Thanks for the convincing.

Can't wait to ride it!

Congrats!! Who are you having do the install? If you can, have Ulmer Racing do your clutches (machining secondary for running 8DN belt), Allen helped develop the Turbo Kit for the Vipers. He knows them inside and out.

Did they lower the price only for canadians- I sps ordered a ltx le but havent recieved a letter on a price reduction.
