Are you planning on incorporating the pro rmk steering rack or something similar, or use the nytro steering angle?

the pro steering seems like a good idea. But the connecting rod must be raised to get clearance above the throttle bodies if im going to turbo it. I have to look and meassure some more when i actually have an engine

Well the front suspension i bought has not been shipped yet.. so im waiting for it to be able to get the spindle position in the right place. After he finally answered the phone he said it probably will be shipped next week.
Im also searching for some gripper skis.
Im thinking and rethinking how to mate the front to the nytro in the best way. Im going to try to make it as bolt on as possible so that when i get a Nytro i could try it out before the rest of my mod sled is done. Might be hard because of the airbox and radiator.

No suspension has arrived yet..........
he says that its shipped but i he hasnt been able to give me the trackingnumber so i dont know wtf. is going on. it was the right stuff at the right price so i really want it. its "cash on delivery" so i wont loose any money if it doesnt show up but a freaking month has passed and i dont want to buy something else and have this delivered the same day...
Anyway i have added a pair och Gripper skis and a Arctic cat brake to the collection of stuff.
Now i just need something from a Lynx

Im starting to accept that i wont get any front suspension from that a-hole that i "bought" it of.
so about 40 days of waiting wasted.
today i had a bit of time in the garage so i started to cut up the bent subframe that i have, to use as a starting point to attach the pro clip to the nytro chassi halves.
some pics.

I ordered some aluminum yesterday. I will be using it as a adapterplate in the lower mounts of the pro and nytro.
I went to a dealer and asked if i could take some measurements of their sleds and they had both a nytro and a pro in the showroom.
I hanged a weigth (plumbob?) From the driveshaft and measured the distance from the skibolt (Not diagonal) .and on the pro i took another referecepoint because i dont have the front suspension.
Stock nytro 66 cm or 26 "
Pro rmk 75 cm or 29,5 "
So if the skinz adds 4,5" forward its 30,5" so i will aim for that measurement.

Thanks for that. But i have a reference point now so i wont need the front suspension for the measuring.
Yesterday i had some time on the project i discovered that the lower mounts on the pro bulk is asymetrical so i need a offset in the mounting plates. So the aluminum i ordered wasnt thick enough on the left side. I cancelled the order and have to rethink what material to use.

Love what your doing. and wanted to follow this post.
Hey Sportsterdanne - You're going about this all wrong. Rather than trying to piece together parts from various OEM's, you should look at what is already being done by custom builders. The following was posted by AK in another thread:

Here is what is possible - Nytro engine in a custom chassis with Polaris Pro RMK geometry. The mountain guys are doing all kinds of crazy things. A short track version of this sled would be pretty sweet as well. Makes me wonder if there is any money in offering custom frames? Figure out a great design, have one of the companies in Taiwan build it as they build many high end bicycle frames that are actually more advanced and complicated, and offer the frame for sale for $1,000-$2,000.

Thanks for your input.
A 4130 tubie with carbon tunnel would be nice but i dont have the time and money for such a build at the moment.
4130 is expensive as gold here and i have only found one dealer who sells to private persons in our whole country.
I dont think its such a bad idea to mount the complete pro clip to the Nytro. If i crash it there is parts over the counter instead of having to repair a custom tube frame.
i came across this pro parts at a good price. When i have bought some used a-arms, spindles and shocks i still wont have payed as much as a set of skinz a-arms cost here in Sweden, labour not included (but thats the fun part).
So i will continue the wrong way of building my NyPro/Protro

lol @ doing it the wrong way. Do it how you want - who cares if its been done before or not. Its your sled! Built not Bought goes a long way with me...I have alot more fun telling people I did everything myself, rather than "oh this shop did....." and "I bought this here...." F THAT!

Do it how you want and have fun with it.
Consider building the mating bracket/piece out of wood. Get it how you want it and take it to a machine shop. Depending on what it looks like you would have a billet or welded piece of some sort and you could re-produce it.
