My first attemp to make my vent kit was not so sucesful. I was not happy with the result, so I started to make a new one. Here is some pics from the start of building it.
I started with to make the shape that I wantyed with tape

Here the new intake will be..the area is bigger that the original one

The original airintake I did close with a plate

The holew are covered with mesh fabriq and grill
I did also drill 3 holes on the side, there can never be to much air into the engine I think
Here you can see where the air will come into the airbox
All the new intakes are under the original filter so all air will be filtered as normally
I have also made some more jobs on the carbonfiberparts to the vent kit

That must be a small lathe, because that wheel looks huge!! It looks like it was water-jet cut. Are you doing some finish turning on them? I made a set of wheels for my Phazer last year from billet aluminum. It was very time consuming. I've had a lot of people ask me to make them a set, but they can buy them cheaper than what I would charge them. Nice work!

They are 9"....and yes I will machine them to get the final finnish on them...and get the bearings fitted.

I really wish i had the equipment to get and make carbon fiber parts after seeing what you have done. Only thing i would want more is the plastic vacuum molder the guys on "Mythbusters" have. I could have a new set of plastics for every day i go riding.

The plan is alu + black for the wheels.
