I was really disappointed with the phazer's light output so I decided to install a PNP HID kit. It was way brighter but I still wasn't happy with the rectangle shaped beam and lack of hi/lo beams so I decided to go the projector way!
I opened up the sealbeam.
Installed angel eyes and painted the reflector and projector shrouds black for a little personal touch then put everything back together.
Then tada!!
With angel eyes on & projectors off
I don't have any pictures of the output but it's way better than the stock reflector. I'll try to take pictures when we get some snow.

Looks pretty cool
Had my Phazer for 2 years now, put 4K on it and haven't rode it at night yet.
Is the stock headlight bulbs THAT bad for output?
I do have an 80/ 100W off road bulb in my bike (glass housing), think I could do the same with the sled without melting the plastic lense/ housing?
What type & wattage are the stock bulbs?

They are Halogen 60/55W.
A big problem with them is more to do with aim in my opinion, but they are not that bright.
Cool mod, it looks great!

I always thought that projector bulbs needed a fan to cool them, won't they overheat?

I don't think there will be any heat problem. These projectors use standard H1 HID bulbs and the hi/lo shield (bi-xenon) is operated by a small solenoid. They don't produce any more heat than standard HID bulbs. Many people use these projectors to retrofit even smaller sealbeams so I don't expect any heat problem.

The heat problem is the opposite, xenon lights do not melt the snow/ice. I have dual 55 w on my Phazer and have problem with snow building up on the lens.

Mine:
Forum (building) thread in Swedish: http://forum.snowmobile.se/showthread.php?t=67778 I don't remember how explicit I was when installing bi-xenon. But it's a pretty straight forward job. I just slammed the ballasts on top of the battery and strapped them down with the battery strap. Easy.
Not mine:
Here's a thread that really explains how it's done (also in Swedish, but you'll get it from the pictures): http://forum.snowmobile.se/showpost.php?p=400863
As I said. Bi-xenon 55w does not melt ice like halogens, but it really (I mean really!) gives a better light when the lens is clear.

The projectors I used are Morimoto Mini H1. The Retrofit Source sells them and has excellent customer service. A Morimoto D2S projector could also be used with the Phazer/Nytro as they also have the adapter plate for H4 bulbs. Angel eyes come from the same source. Install is pretty easy : pop the housing open using the oven technique (7 mins @ 265 degrees F) or heat gun, remove old bulbs, install projectors using the H4 adapter place and cast nut supplied with the kit, install angel eyes on projector shrouds, re-seal housing and you are bingo. You then have to mount your HID setup (ballasts and wire harness) on your sled and that's it. I've been using this setup for 2 seasons and it's great! I transferred the retrofit on my Nytro.

AWESOME! I know this may be weird, but could you possibly shoot me a text? 231-633-0447. If I could I LOVE that setup and I would love to ask a couple questions. thanks man!The projectors I used are Morimoto Mini H1. The Retrofit Source sells them and has excellent customer service.
