Just found this today!
It’s the stock viper muffler mount, not designed to carry the extra weight of the turbo, it’s cracked, so now I’m fixing that!
Buy the dam Sidewinder!!!!

Saw that ad. For $1-2k more you can get a '17 Winder with equal km.

Agree with all posters here.
In addition, you can easily spend less than $1000 in the future for software only to bring the horsepower up to 265 on pump fuel and still be completely reliable!

Well after some refinements to the chaincase and clutch rollers... among other things. But still waaaay more reliable than a frickin Doo or Poo with half the power!

X2 on Team clutches. Mine have been flawless. No vibration, no "noise", quiet, no wear. My guess is it's the difference in weight between Cat Team clutch and Winder clutches. Harmonics, etc.Don't be scared to look at a cat!! The team clutches have been working well!!!

Don't forget guys, the older vipers body work is old school compared to the sidewinder, you still have extra screws and clips to remove in order to get to belt on viper.

Good point. I am really happy with how the panels come off and on. Much better than the Viper and also better than an Apex and Nytro.Don't forget guys, the older vipers body work is old school compared to the sidewinder, you still have extra screws and clips to remove in order to get to belt on viper.
The new bodywork is nice. Also look at the wiring. Much improved routing and neatness in Sidewinder. Being a Viper owner so I may be somewhat biased. The lack of radiator on Winder is a big deal. Especially first few hrs of day before trail gets loose. The ice buildup is crazy at times also on Winder. None of these two issues is ever a problem on a Viper. The Turbo. A stock Winder is smooth pulling. You know how many times I have heard that! What it really means is a STOCK winder is kinda boring till it get going. A na or na based turbo viper sure as heck feels faster to 60-80mph than a STOCK winder and results I have seen show that even in rollons. Lastly based on what I have heard from more than one who went directly from one to the other is the Winder felt heavier in front end. This could of course be setup but have heard it more than once especially from off trail guys. Now if I wanted a Turbo there is no doubt it would be a Winder so don't get me wrong the positives greatly outweigh the negatives but there are negatives including the cheating turbo
