Pros and cons to turbo viper vs sidewinder

Well I’ll say the Winder is much more reliable than a aftermarket add on kit IMO.

But once you get the rubbing steering shaft, throttle body coming off motor, rubbing coolant tank, turbo issues, electrical gremlins, Chaincase woes ...13 wide @ 270hp =no bueno and numerous things like this busted turbo mount, ect......ya the SOB is AWSOME!

The new bodywork is nice. Also look at the wiring. Much improved routing and neatness in Sidewinder. Being a Viper owner so I may be somewhat biased. The lack of radiator on Winder is a big deal. Especially first few hrs of day before trail gets loose. The ice buildup is crazy at times also on Winder. None of these two issues is ever a problem on a Viper. The Turbo. A stock Winder is smooth pulling. You know how many times I have heard that! What it really means is a STOCK winder is kinda boring till it get going. A na or na based turbo viper sure as heck feels faster to 60-80mph than a STOCK winder and results I have seen show that even in rollons. Lastly based on what I have heard from more than one who went directly from one to the other is the Winder felt heavier in front end. This could of course be setup but have heard it more than once especially from off trail guys. Now if I wanted a Turbo there is no doubt it would be a Winder so don't get me wrong the positives greatly outweigh the negatives but there are negatives including the cheating turbo:dunno:

That is why I put the Hurricane quick spool bundle of tunes in my sled. Stock it was like 1,2 then go due to being a decompressed engine.
Now its hang on!
