Buddy of mine just picked up his sidewinder and while checking it out in his garage we had to lift it and hit the throttle a couple times... While doing that we heard a racheting sound or clacking??? Curious if anyone knows what this could be, doesn't sound like its normal. His track had about of 1" or so of sag when we lifted it, could it just be the track because it was hanging in the air?

Sounded exactly like that actually! Maybe just the sound of the metal clips in the track just running over the hard plastic sprockets on the drive shaft??? Good video!

All of my sleds will do that to some extent and when the track it tight it can be worse.

Both MrSled and DJ Hennessy have nailed it for you. It's the sound of the metal track clips slapping off the drive axle and front of the rails/hyfax.
It's a common noise on Yamaha's especially when they're brand new and everything is tight but it's not going to go completely away as the miles add up.
I think the sound is magnified with the new SideWinder's because the exhaust is so darn quiet.

I got them from Muffin Works. They made them for the Viper and I cut one edge of them to fit the Sidewinder.

Yep, track clips
Noise is from Track clips hitting the front of rail protectors/ sliders. After break in noise will be greatly reduced. This noise is amplified when sled is lifted in the rear allowing front of rear skid to hang down a bit farther. This is normal. If you were to draw up on the limiter straps this noise all but goes away. This will increase ski pressure but alters the approach angle.
