I looked at about ten different 2020 or newer artic cats when fabio and I where riding and they are all in upper hole. I think cat told yami that's where it goes to get the upper edge in handling!! I've got over 1000km on it now in various conditions and I ride pretty hard and it's a game changer in the upper hole.

Wrong Yamaha told Cat to change them on the assembly line. There was even a tech note to the dealers to make sure the bolt was in the bottom hole. This a Yamaha only deal but no one seems to know why maybe someone should call out Jared and see what he has to say he's been pretty quite lately anyway would be nice to hear from him.

Well it's a mistake putting it in the lower! Works way way better in top hole. Better transfer, better cooling ,lighter steering just haven't found a con yet!Wrong Yamaha told Cat to change them on the assembly line. Looks like one more ADJUSTMENT to make before the next ride. Would be nice to know Yamahas reasoning for the difference from Cats set up ?Well it's a mistake putting it in the lower! Works way way better in top hole. Better transfer, better cooling ,lighter steering just haven't found a con yet!

As was mine.Make sure the spring retainers are installed correctly, which is up. Some sleds have come with the spring on the bottom side.
This is the correct way they should be.

2021 LTX GT.
Will it works in the rear top hole with a 1.75 " backcountry X track?

Should be fine assuming it's not studded. I compressed it with springs out and I believe there was an inch of clearance above the 1.25" ripsaw and I'm not seeing any rubber marks on protectors and I'm 285lbs and ride pretty hard2021 LTX GT.
