With sag it the rear and tight limiters is odd. Mine is topped out in the rear and limiters are tight but it’s on 1 on the torsion and topped out

I would not sweat this too much since the springs will all take a set between 3-500mi and you will be making all kinds of adjustments till then. I admit the tight limiters surely floors me.
I feel there is a geometry change some where! Like a mounting hole that changed locations or something. I think we will stumble on it some time! With it set like this it should have minimal ski lift!
Thanks for everybody's help!!! This site is a major asset!

UPdate, got my set of QS3Rs from Cannondale and installed on the Winder, even though not riding the sled, it feels very different. Now to figure out the sag a 2nd timeI feel there is a geometry change some where! Like a mounting hole that changed locations or something. I think we will stumble on it some time! Does anyone have any updates or figured out this whole scenario. I was told to change to 2019 spindles and skid. I guess all the new Cat race sleds have the pre 2020 spindles and skid on them. Good thing I got an extra skid laying around. My Viper is a complete trail weapon maybe I should just keep it and get rid of the Winder or at least find a decent 2019. Has anyone looked at a new Thunder Cat to see how they are set up, are they the same or different. I haven't even looked at my Winder since I brought it home hopefully in a couple of weeks I can get it in the shop and see what's up I do know it was almost sitting on transfer blocks when I brought it home.

I will be installing my BOP 4 position adjuster on our sidewinder. That extra push should help when the spring breaks in and looses some of its tension.
I wouldn't condemn the 2020 as a terrible ride. Mine was bought in the spring and i haven't even rode it yet. The real test will come when it hits the snow!

Ya I'm in the same boat One Guy's Brother I was hoping that some guys with 2020's would chime in, there got to be more than just HellFlyer with some miles on a LTX. It's looking like that little bit of change on the spindles was just a ploy to sell sleds. You can't change the height of the front of the machine and then just Jerry rig the rear to make it work half a$$. I'm lucky enough to have a pre 2020 skid laying around and I can get the spindles and upper arm for a pretty good price so I'll make it work one way or another. It just kinda pi$$es me off that I past up good deals on some 2019'S and bought this 20 because of the suspension changes. Well you know what they say nobody ever accused me of being intelligent.

I know Fabio was complaining about his GT being to stiff in the back end. No set in hardly at all. He’s at lease 100lb light than me and I’m on the lowest setting for the rear springs and I’m 290lbs. There has to be bad springs out there if there sitting that low.

Very possible HellFlyer what if you moved the rear skid back to the pre 20 holes for the rear scissors that should square the track up to the ground correct. That should make it like an old school straight axle drag car. It will sit up high in the front and low in the back I guess I shouldn't be complaining until I ride it but man I don't know how this all can work from what you guys are saying.

Yes but the upper idlers are bigger and will hit the tunnel when they travel along with the Track and that would end the day in a hurry!

Ya that makes perfect sense I guess I'll just pull the skid and compare it to the pre 20 I have and go from there. Thanks for the info.

I use to bottom out the front of the skid a lot with the pre 20 suspension and don’t with the 20 set up so I’m a big fan of the new design.

Anyone played with the Sno Pro springs on a 129 and can compare them to the Yammi 129's? Trying to make a 14 7000 Sno Pro to be able to ride down a trail without sending the hits up the spine. Rode a 15 SR Viper 137 on the same trail, it rode much better but was far from Plush, as my Renegade eats up all everything on the trail without effort.
Just picked these two Yammi Milled sleds, great motor (reminds me of my SRX's)!
Cat has the Raptor center spring, Yammi is bone stock (except for the tri hub delete)
Trying to figure out if the 16.5 lb/deg spring will help both sleds? People above have been posting Yammi pricing, may want to check out the cat sites as the cat pricing is 20-30% less. If I can get these to ride well, a turbo may be on the horizon to replace the Doo.
BTW: are you still a Newb if you been a member for 14 yrs?

The rear springs in both of those machines are pretty stiff get a hold of Canondale from TY or HyGear they can get you the correct spring's for your weight and riding style. The valving in the rear shocks was way of on the 14 & 15 Vipers also they were pretty stiff. I think the Cats were a little better but the RR models were on the stiff side also. I had my shocks rebuild and re valved along with a new set of springs on my 2014 Viper and it was a totally different machine.
