Could you describe the nature and situation of the flashing? Is it a pattern that you can count? Number of flashes? Then a repeat? Or just a flickering while you are riding the bike? Any info you can provide will give us more to go on.

My '06 Grizzly is also doing this. It has been stored all winter. I moved it yesterday to be in a better location to change the oil and noticed the reverse light starts blinking after it has ran for about 10-20 seconds. My manual says "if the reverse light is blinking or it doesn't display mph when riding, have a Yamaha dealer check the speed sensor circuit." I didn't notice if it was displaying mph or not.
Would of course much rather fix whatever is wrong myself. Anyone know what this is? TIA

I'd be interested in knowing about it as well.My wifes Kodiaks reverse light will flash from time to time. The oil/temp light also comes on on occasion for no apparent reason.Turn the machine off then back on and its out.Sometimes it will come back on.Other times it won't.

Im working on a 02 grizzly right now that has had the reverse light flashing on it a few times and its a steady flash with no countable pattern to it but its not spiratic like a loose wire or something its definately steady like a code. I was riding my 05 grizzly yesterday at the sugarbush and it cut out a couple times and ran funny for a minute and my reverse light flashed only once and it ran fine after that and the light stayed off??? Someone must know what that means....

Try pushing the over ride button when this happens. could be part of the over rev limiter switch shorting out somewhere.
