I'm thinking of putting on a ripsaw track.
I hear that they hook up well on hard pack, what about in loose snow?
Do you guys notice any loss in top end in various conditions?
Thanks

Hooks up awesome no matter where you are at! Haven't tried to top mine out yet, I have hit about 110 on the speedo, no need to go any faster than that.
PTT, I put on the ripsaw and hookup is way better. Also added the heel clickers. Did some trail breaking in about two foot of snow and no problem, even up hill. Only done a few WOT so far and best I saw was 106, but field had some bumps which limited me. Last year in Canada on a long lake I saw 126. This was when my 03 shorty was all stock. I like having the quick acceleration more than the top end personally. Just waiting for Freddies filters to complete the package.

Ripsaw tracks Rock!
The new ripsaw track is awsome! Good acceleration, braking, top end is good. Waaaaay! better than the finger track! Well worthwhile changing. Once installed it's like driving a new machine!

I too agree with what has been previously posted about the track, good move to change it.

I agree, but it is definitely more oriented towards packed snow than powder. On a groomed trail it accelerates like nothing I've ever rode before. I haven't had a chance to run anybody yet, but my seat of pants comparison with Ripsaw, ECP, Heavy hitters and 1 tooth down on gearing to stock is that it is a completely different machine. I haven't had a chance to really wind it up yet, but I know on trails it is still pulling hard at 90 mph.
