I run a 6 pitch 1 1/4 on my RX-1 and have never been consistantly beat out of the hole in a drag race on the snow by a ripsaw. If they did have a faster sled they would usually need 250-350' to go buy. Which is faster in a drag race? Trying to decide what to run in my RTX. May even go 1" 6 pitch, has anyone run this track. Top end is also a big concern, we usually drag for about 1/2 mile. :4STroke: Don't tell me about the other qualities of the Ripsaw I don't care.

I don't have any complaints, I have never run one. I am only concerned that they don't seem like a great drag track, which is very important to me.
I have been passed on the topend more than once by ripsaws.

I also ran anti-ratchets on my RX. Mostly so I did not have to run my track so tight with the proaction. Do you know if the Mono ratchets easy too

MrSled so have you raced your 05 against RX's with other tracks besides that junk nipple track. What do you think about that 1" 6 pitch.

As far as I know and I run my track really loose on my 05...it has never ratchets..

A few times I have had mine on a jack stand my track has looked loose but I have never had mine ratchet either.

As far as the Ripsaw goes, I like it.

No offense, but most here don't care about your opinion of your track either seeing that most here could benefit more from the ripsaw. By the way, have you noticed that every manufacturer now offers the ripsaw on their sleds :ORC

Fuelie I did not say that I did not care about ripsaw opinions. If you read my post I specificly was asking about acceleration of the ripsaw and other tracks.

The 1" version (9830) works great too. You will lose a little top speed over the stock track but traction is way better. The Doo 1" track off the Blair Morgan Doo is probably one of the best tracks I have ever seen for good all around performance. All my buds use em & even tho they are heavy & fully clipped they hook hard & top end loss is minimal. Very similar to a 9830 & probably find one cheaper.

Ripsaw

Most of my friends run rip saws. None of them have beaten me. Granted none of their sleds put out the same power that my srx does.
I have been running the six pitch track and love it.
Last season i ran the cone or finger shaped track from camo. I would have never replaced it my W-arm had not blown.
Just my .05
