hey guys, looking for some help on a hot start problem on an 05 rx1 mcx rear mount. It has a very difficult time to start after it has been sitting for about 15 min. or so , feels like it is flooded. Does anyone have any answers.

Are you using any throttle? I have a Bender rear mount and I need to give it some throttle or it won't fire off.

I do open the throttle a little, but still has a very hard time to start. Any suggestions?

I have a shut off in the line to the heated carbs. If 30F or more I only leave it open a crack. If colder I open it accordingly.

Fuel screws could be too far open, float levels could be too high, Pilots could be too big.
Definately a rich condition.

It's rich, I have to give it throttle, sometimes WOT to get it started.
Would it help tapping power to the fuel pump from a lead that only holds power when the head light is on? Head light comes on only when the engine is running, right? It may help on the flooded carb situation, just a thought

Mine has always been like that as well. Give it 1/4 throtle to get it going when hot. Starts up second crank every time without missing a beat. Even in -40 c same thing.
