I'm going to take part in the TY mileage again this year, I will shoot pics for my ride review from all rides this year as well.

I will be be riding in the northernmost part of Norway, around 70 deg northern lattitude, I live in the town Lakselv, Norway. In Google Earth, search for: Lakselv, Norway.

Here's a few maps of my riding area.

Finnmark, the northernmost region of Norway. To the south west you find northern part of Sweden, to the south is Finland, and to the east you find Russia.

I plan on documenting every single ride this season so there will be a lot of trails covered in my reviews.

I will start this seasons thread as usual with a teaser of the first snow covering the mountains at 2000 ft or 600 meters and up.

With Haydays done and the first frost and snow in the mountains sledding season is officially started :) Think snow, winter is getting closer.

:winter:

Both, most trails ends up at a dead end, but a lot of trails are A to B trails. From Lakselv I can ride out west to Alta or out east to Tana. I can cross the border to Finland at Njuorgam, Ochejohka, Garagasnjarga and Guovdageidnu where I can enter the vast trail network of Finland. They have trails all over the country all the way down to the capitol of Helsinki. From Finland I can enter Sweden which have even a larger trail network than Finland with trail going from the north down as far south as they have snow, close to Stockholm I would guess.

Locally most trails are mountain trails with only a few trail leading from A to B :)

Do you wanna come riding with me for a early April ride sometime? You are very much welcome to do so any time.

We're getting closer to winter for every passing day. We've had snow in the mountains since monday. Up north, about 50 miles from here snow is on the ground all the way down to the sea.

Here's a few pics shot out the windows at my office at work.

Here's my workbench where I set up computers before they are delivered to the end user. I also do maintenance and repairs here.

Should have been :) but my bosses would have kicked my butt if I changed the Local Government start page http://www.porsanger.no/ to Ty4stroke.com

I have tried a few Yamaha sled wallpapers on desktop computers, Yamaha people seems to like them, but then the treehuggers, doo, poo and ac fans complains about it, then it's back to the default Windows backgrounds LOL ....

If you look closely on my double screens, on the left screen you can see some of my 2009 Apex RTX Wallpaper, to the left of Outlook that is. Yeah I get comments on it specially in summer, and at this time of the year when sledding season are getting closer.

Drawings are my childrens work visiting their father at work :)

The HDs are about the first 3.5" HDs on the market, the one with largest storing capasity could store 30 MB of data, the other ones were only at 15 MB. Hahahaha the 30 MB HD required DOS 3.0 to be able to use the whole disk space LOL.
It's more like contemplary art I guess.

If you look carefully in the last picture, on my workbench, above the LCD Display on the right you will find Porsanger county trail map. No it's the opposite, it's thinking about riding that makes it bearable to be at work, looking at the trail maps takes me away dreaming about the beeing out playing in the white stuff LOL

Snow's flying, we had the white stuff on the ground for the first time this season, unluckily the weathergirls are calling for hot weather the next few days before getting back to freezing again. I hope the snow at altitude will stay put and not melt away, one can only hope :) Man we are close to winter....yeehaaa
