Well this will be my first season on a 4-stroke. I bought this sled used in the spring and spent the summer working on it. Here is the thread in the 4-stroke garage of my build... http://www.ty4stroke.com/viewtopic.php?t=88472

There should be a little of everything this season, ditches, the Manitoba backcounty a trip to the mountains and maybe even a trail ride. I'm going to guess that I come in around the 2000-2500 mile range.

SLED: 2009 Nytro RTX SE
STARTING MILEAGE: 2558 miles

Mission Objective: Test updates

Miles so far this season: 27

We've now had 3 good dumps of snow. The ditches around my house are full. I rode deeper snow today then I have in a while. It was a blast!

After some clutching changes the sled now feels great!! I'll have to do some further testing but it's in the ball park now.

First real ride planned for tomorrow! Loading them up and heading to our secret location!

Ride #5
Date: December 7, 2010
Miles: 73
Mission Objective: Ditch bangin'

Miles so far this season: 140

Well we rode some of the roughest ditches ever :o|

It was a good test for the Nytros suspension and I am still impressed with this sled so far. It really doesn't feel heavy to me.

My buddy had the top end go in his Rev. It was a nice reminder of why I bought a 4 stroke.

At the end of the day we saw the groomer. Not grooming but packing with the tracks. It made the ditch trail into a snoX track, it was wicked! I think I prefer that to actual grooming.. ;)!

Ride #6
Date: December 14, 2010
Miles: 42
Mission Objective: 1st trail ride

Miles so far this season: 182

I spent the morning helping my buddy pull the motor out of his Rev. Looks like it might have been bad gas.

My other buddy came over with his 08 Nytro and we hit the local trail which has now been groomed. THe trail is pretty good where it is in the ditch however areas that go on the field are pretty thin. (all out snow was blown into the ditch.)

It was a good chance for me to get the speeds up on my Nytro and further test my clutching. Every thing worked well, I love this sled more every time I ride it.

The battery died on my camera but I did manage to snap a pic of my buddy when he got stuck. I think this is the first stuck of the year in our group.......

One of those surprise days. It looked like it was going to be a miserable day cold and blowing however the wind died down and the sun came out. Trails were great and even the food at lunch was fantastic.

Ride #9
Date: January 5, 2010
Miles: 118
Mission objective: The Ducks!

Miles so far this season: 513

2nd day at the cabin we decided to trailer up to Dauphin MB then took a trail ride with the destination being the Duck Mountains. We had a man down in the ditch after a wipeout and he was a little sore so the day was cut short but we still had a good day with great snow.

We pulled the pin on the 3rd of riding and it turns out I was luck we did the sliders were burnt right off my sled after 513 miles!

The black and white Nytro is my buddy's 09 XTX.

Seems like you guys have some great snow!

Keep the pics coming. It´s fun to see where, and in what kind of areas different people ride.

Mission Objective: Solo Pow run

Miles so far this season 533

I'm up at the cabin with the family so I went out for a couple of hours by myself. Not something I'm big on but I never got too far from the cabin. Great snow up here!! (Onanole MB)

After getting fuel at the end of the ride I was just going to put home so I never bother attaching my tether. Due to the great snow there are huge snow piles from parking lots. I tried to ride one up that I shouldn't have and got my right ski caught one the wrong side of a snow pile and over she went. Stupid mistake and it cost me my hand guard on the PTo side.
