This weekend will more then likely be it for the year around my area. Riding tomorrow but it will be a warm +6 C. Then I will take the kids on the weekend. Anything beyond this weekend with the + temps will be a bonus. Such a short season and this year it seems even shorter. What a year to have a new sled. Next year I hoe there is piles of snow.

Headed up to the cottage next week. Was planning on taking my Wifes car, checked the weather and said "oh well". Bringing the truck and returning home with the sled. My Season's over. 
On the plus side I have a basement full of parts found over the course of the winter just waiting to be installed.

Funny how fast the trails go to heck once warm weather hits. Went last Tuesday and had an awesome ride. Went today and it was brutal. I may be done. Don't want to trailer way up North to ride in slush and ice.
We got a lot of good riding this year, but non of it was local. Fat lady has all but sung her for us groomed trail riders. Saw probably 25 motorcycles out today. Even people jogging. In shorts! Crazy. Off trail will last another couple weeks or so, but the groomers will be stopping soon if the weather does not turn around soon. This weeks weather:

Hoping to get a couple more days 23rd -26 ?????? I have no issue with lake and logging road riding. trails are fun but just want one more trip?????? I will take what I can get!

Ever since I got my Apex, I have not had many big mileage trips. It seems like when I have things lined up to get out of town, it will warm up or rain, and dump snow when I cant get away.
2009 was my first year with my first new sled, after 10 yrs on a 93 Tcat 900. amazing leap forward for me, had to save a looong time for the Apex! Only logged 1050 miles, Had my first born that winter.
2010 bad timing on trips and cancellations and only got 700 miles, bummer.
This season. I only got one trip. went mid february for 2-1/2 days of riding in the keweenaw and logged 500 miles in outstanding conditions. That is a ton of riding for me in that time. One day was 220 miles!Unfortunately, that will be my only trip this year. But it was a really good one, ranked in top 5 rides in my 20 yrs of riding.
Here's to a great season next season, I really want to go on one of the TY rides!
