No kidding. For the two lower ones we actually put a torch on them, vise grip on the head, and allen wrench in the middle. Took all 3 tools at the same time to break them loose.
Was looking at that the other night....thinking if you remove the belly pan you could saw the bar just center-side of the clamps ...and slide them out leaving the clamps in, and pulling the cut out center section out the bottom of the pan...thoughts?

326 miles on her now. Decided to clean the clutches and belt and picked up the oil and filter for my oil change.
I should be getting pictures in my email by the end of the night and I'll post them here.
I finally got to air out the MTX alittle more and so far it's awesome...very easy to control in the air. Should be a great jumping sled.
Riding again tomorrow somwhere different with a 146 XP, we'll see how it does against the MTX

Did 30.2 more miles today. Snow conditions were about 2-3 ft. of dry powder. Spent a lot of time climbing and couldn't get above 8,200 RPM's. I'm going to drill holes in the outside rivets to drop a little clutch weight. Track speed was only about 44-46 mph.
I got my challenger track too so I'll swap that in and try it out next weekend.
I also found out that the stock Apex Mountain torsion springs are a little stiffer than the Nytro springs so I'm going to find a used set to try. These along with the Venture long track shock should be a huge improvement in the rear suspension ride.

Any comparisons with the XP 146 worth posting????
Great shots! I was able to air out the proto's last spring and was very happy with how neutral they flew.

errol,
Where are you doing your sledding. Conditions look great. How about sending some of that snow east. Did you have any of the sea level gearing/clutching mods done?

That jump wasn't very big. Did about 20 ft. or so yesterday and some cornice drops and I just keep loving this sled more and more. It's so much fun to ride and feels really good in the air.
I jumped 96 ft. with my Rev and my goal is to get the MTX past 100 ft. by the time winter is over. That pic was nothing, lol. I'll be sure and get some from this weekend. Hoping to be past the 500 mile mark by the end of Thanksgiving.

And just you guys have an idea of what I was riding before i got the Nytro. It was a 440 Rev chassis with a ported & piped 800, Diamond Drive, ect. ect. Very fast, light, and fun sled.

Started the track swap tonight. Got some track weights for those who care.
48 lbs for the maverick and 45 lbs for the challenger. My challenger was take off from an M7 so it's only clipped everyother one and the outside drive lugs are smaller to clear the Diamond Drive. I believe the regular challenger is around 50 lbs or close to it. If you're not going to run boost I would look for the lighter M series challenger, the lighter track will pull more track speed and should climb higher on the hill.
Took lots of pictures of everything and will post them tomorrow.

How does the Nytro compare to your old ride? Can you feel the extra weight because your old sled looks like you lightened it up alot from stock and everything is about weight if you go over on DooTalk.
