Yup 7.5 can gallonsDid a nice loop and hit a gas station with 125 miles on and still showing a quarter of a tank. Whoops the pumps were shut off as they were all out. With so many sleds they ran out of gas on Sunday. It was 15 miles to next stop and 4 of us turbos both 1100 and 998. Had to chance it and mine made it on fumes at 142 miles. It was flashing for about 10 min. It took 9.5 gallons to fill but it cut out once pulling to the pumps. Got lucky. Will not go beyond 130 again. I am running max 17 as well. These are pretty darn good on fuel.

I got my first miles last week in the UP. I found there is a flange/lip at the top of the tank about 1.5" down into the fill hole. If you don't put the gas nozzle down past that flange and are not centered over the hole the gas splashes back up onto the seat. Pretty cheesy design flaw IMHO. Thanks Cat!

Put a knee on the rear bumper and push down. Its real hard.... lol..... You will hear it gurgle and you can put another squirt of fuel in it.

Ha!! I did like my Apex a lot! But I do like the rider forward, the better hand warmers and seat warmer on this thing. Not to mention it goes very well! Lots of trade offs I guess. Another thing I noticed.......it costs more at the pump since I have to run 91 octane. I always ran 87 in the Apex. Mileage wise they are pretty close. Oh well!

Just got it home last night from Knappatack's. Had the stock muffler bundle installed. I now need to machine 3 mm off the secondary backside and the bolt bushing sleeve to get it to 57.5 offset. Mine was at 60.6 mm stock. Wasn't a belt blower stock but as we know that can change with a tune.

Does a guy have to run the higher octane fuel in the sidewinders?

I would. It's peace of mind. Tuners say on the lower tunes you are safe as long as you don't hold it for long periods of WOT, so I agree with that. The knock light is great, but remember that it is possible a low level of knock can be happening before the light is triggered.Does a guy have to run the higher octane fuel in the sidewinders?
I was seeing my light triggered on 1/3 mile pulls set at 275hp on 91

Ya,and lets not forget, when we see the light, knock has already accured, and knock is not what anyone wants to see, excessive knock and your motor will not like it,pistons and valves for this motor are not cheap,or easy to replace.I would.
