Sidewinder Luggage

Absolutely Sledroll. I hope to get to Maine to work on the sled before the end of the month.

Yes, i have one.
I liked it, but went to a gas can & luggage combo.
The only thing i did was bolt it to tunnel with wing nuts so i could remove it at night on backpack trips.
I also cut a hole & used a fender washer for the seat bolt.
It looked very good on the sled & didn't need straps like soft bags.

SWOCD I have the soft tunnel bag with the smaller original small linq gas can

Do you have a pick of your former set up ?
Here is my current set up on the 137.
Took off the original "purse", and added the removeable bag with the Linq can .
The bag, conveniently covered up the SKIDOO logo on the gas can.
The bottom of the bag has a couple hole where tools , belt , etc wore thru .
Will put a sheet of 1/4"hard foam to fix that up for this year.
It is handy to be able to remove the bag any time , when on a trip , or to dry things out , but looks nicer without the straps.
I have the linq can raised 1/2 inch so it can go back as far as possible , without hitting the rear light .
I tried to put the new bigger Linq can on , but it has a wider base , and hits the light , unless I raise it further.
I want to keep the streamlined look , so the Linq bag that attaches to the bigger gas can is not on the list.
It doesn't look like there may be room for the semi rigid one and the gas tank.
The fender washer and wing nut , sounds like the way to go.

On the 137, this semi-hard bag fills from the seat all the way to the light. I can't find a pic, but will look again.

BTW: I HATE anything with straps. Me & buds have lost too much stuff over time.

I just finished my first 4 day saddle bag trip with the Up North Technologies tunnel rack, Rotopax 2 gallon Gen 2 gas can, and Skinz tunnel bag. Everything work great. I modified the UNT tunnel so I could leave the Yamaha tool bag on.

I fabricated a bracket based on the UNT design. With 9k on the sled and being a heavy rider, im noticing that my suspension is not too far from teh transfer blocks even with both springs set on 3. I thought there was a post at one time that had part numbers for different spring values.>?
To those that carry fuel, how is your suspension holding out?

I have the larger tunnel bag and the Linq can , with torsions on 3 and still won't go up and too much sag when I get on.
Either need the 4 position billet adjuster blocks or new springs that I can start back on the first setting , and then increase the setting as the spring wears .

at 9000kms now so assuming my springs are ready for replacement. ya?

.......Questions is, should i replace with stock springs or a beefier part number

Here's what I got going. It's not the best I ever ran. But it's the most efficient/good looking setup I could put together for a 129" Procross.

Started with Adapta-Link from White Out Link
Also bought BRPs Stackable Fuel Caddy #860201432 Link
Then BRPs SR21 Tunnel Bag just because It looks better than the other ones #860201740 Link
Then to finish it off with Yamaha Saddle Bags #SMA-8LR73-00-BK Link
Left the stock bag for 1 spare belt, stock toolkit, waterproof box for reg and insurance and one rope(cause it's still a Cat chassis lol).
Had to turn the Stackable tank 180deg (from what BRP wants) to keep the bag and the taillight as is. But I wanted to be able to remove everything but the small bag and still have everything I need in the stock bag, Specially the belt. Its a tight fit for the BRP link stuff on a 129 but works awesome.

Kimpex has now come out with their own system very similar to linq. Options are tunnel bag, rack and fuel tank.
Kimpex calls theirs 'connect'.

I use the POWDERKEG unit on my 19 SIDEWINDER LTX DX. Also had same unit on my 19 VIPER LTX DX. When I switched to the Winder, I just ordered a new set of mounts, that way I can use on either sled. As far as leaking is concerned , I’ve used it now for 3 winters and never had anything get wet, not even a drop of moisture. You just need to use some common sense when loading, as no unit is designed to be jammed full to the point you force the cover out of shape. I don’t have the gas can option on mine. I ride Quebec all winter. Good planning and never passing a gas station eliminates the problem. Last 3 winters I have done 3000 miles a year, in Quebec, and never needed gas. Getting ready to do the SPRING ORDER for the new SIDEWINDER LTX GT, and will get another set of brackets from POWDERKEG for the 21.

Up north technologies makes a new rack system with 2 linq mounting areas for the 137. It will allow you to keep the small bag from the factory behind the gas tank.

Not a bad system. Can carry gas and luggage. Off topic but I noticed they make a rack for Polaris Xc 129 and mxz’s 129’s that are able to accept two mounting positions.

The procross 129 only has room for one though
